Favourite Fall/Winter colours

I did something like this for spring/summer.  Originally I wanted to do something for warm shades and then another for cooler shades.  That didn't work out since I basically mainly wore these shades during the spring and summer.  I own a lot of colours but I kept wanting to paint my nails with those specific bottles of polish, so to me, that is amazing given the amount of polishes I own.

I wanted to do the same thing for fall and winter.  When I think of fall, I usually think of the autumn leaves changing, so the colour palette would be very warm: reds, oranges, yellows, browns and some green.  Winter is cooler colours: blues, greys and maybe gold (especially for the holidays).  Since we are entering winter, I decided to make this post for fall and winter.  We had our first snow fall last week, and the snow has pretty much stuck to the ground, even if it's just a thin layer.

In the post, I had worn three coats.  For the pictures below, I painted four coats.  Since it was so shiny and beautiful, I thought I would try adding another coat of polish instead of top coat.  That didn't work since it takes a very long time to dry.  I ended up painting a top coat over.  The layers are pretty thin, so it didn't make my fingers feel heavy.  I don't know if this is in my mind but when there are more layers, I feel that my nails feel heavier.  This is why I prefer two coats.

2. Essie: Cashmere Bathrobe
I really like how this is a nice grey with subtle shimmer.  It's a dark grey but not quite black.

3. Essie: Carry On
This is a new discovery for me, even though I owned this colour for two years.  I want to reach for it often but if I did, then my other colours wouldn't be used.

4. OPI: Eurso Euro
Even though this was released in spring, I like how Eurso Eurso is a really nice blue.  I painted this on my toes this time, so I had to grab a picture from my original post.  Which looks a little more oily cause I put cream over my fingers after (sorry!)

Thank you for reading my favourite fall/winter colours post.  I'm actually surprised that they mostly belong to Essie.  Though, my spring/summer colours are also by Essie too.
