Today I decided to do a comparison post. I recently bought China Glaze "Keep Calm, Paint On" from their Avant Garden 2013 Spring Collection. I know I have a lot of colours, especially in this range since it's my favourite colour range. So I decided to compare what I already have in my stash. I have a lot of colours, which is why I decided to start a blog. If I'm going to buy like a blogger, I may as well start a blog.
Part of me wishes that I had a better idea of the colours before placing them the way I did. The reason being is from the bottle sometimes they didn't look that similar, so I just ignored it. Mainly from China Glaze "Keep Calm, Paint On", I wish I placed next to Sally Hansen nailgrowth Miracle "Gentle Blossom".
I did put them side by side and #10 Gentle Blossom has more fine glitter and it is glossier than #1 Keep Calm, Paint On. Also, there's a slight more blue in #10.

11. Borghese Rapido - Menta
12. Dior - Waterlily LE
13. Essie - Navigate Her
14. Butter London - Two Fingered Salute
15. Butter London - Lady Muck
I had originally bought #11 Borghese Rapido in Menta because I didn't want to buy #12 Dior's Waterlily since it was so expensive. So while the colour looks similar the application is so different. #11 is streaky when I first put it on my finger, it was very easy to paint it on this plastic nail thing, but on my nail it was hard. Now looking at the pictures, it's clear that #12 is darker. Though it's no longer available, I just wanted to show the difference between the two in case someone wanted a colour similar.

Are Sally Hansen Jade Jump and OPI Mermaid's Tears dupes?
ReplyDeleteNo they aren't. OPI Mermaid Tears is a bit darker. Sally Hansen Jade Jump is brighter. When I put Mermaid Tears next to Jade Jump, Mermaid Tears gives off a bit more of a murky look.
DeleteI checked my collection to see if others were similar to Mermaid Tears (Zoya Bevin, and Zoya Wednesday) and they aren't exact dupes, if it's an exact dupe you are looking for. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful.
