I had seen other nail bloggers swatch Rescue Beauty Lounge's collections. The only colours that caught my eye were part of the fan collection but I didn't order any. Now looking back, I wish I did because once they are sold out, I believe they are discontinued.
This is a picture of my book. I read it during Christmas holidays. I found it very informative. I haven't started to follow most of the tips but I have did some things. The listed price on the back of this book is $12.95 US/$14.95 CAD. I paid less than the CAD listed price, so I think it's worth my investment.
My polish package came after my book arrived. From the packaging you can tell that the company really cares about putting the extra touches to their shipments. I also received a card signed by Ji Baek. I just thought my order was beautifully wrapped up.
Thoughts on Insouciant:
The polish was very easy to apply. I felt like it was pretty effortless to stay on my nail bed. The colour is described as a toned-down dusty gray lilac with hint of shimmer. The shimmer from the bottle is beautiful. There is this purple-blue kind of fine shimmer. I didn't really notice that on my nails but last week was a dark week in terms of weather, so I wouldn't have been able to see it. In office lighting, it was lighter but the shimmer didn't really appear. I could still tell that there was depth within the colour because of the shimmer. I received two compliments for this colour. I'm not sure if I'm just receiving compliments weekly because I'm the only person in my office who changes their nail colour but I'll receive it that it's for the colour. One even complimented me in the elevator (which was pretty dark in lighting). I wore this polish for an entire week and there was barely any chipping. I type a lot, so the edges receded, but there were no big chunks of chipping. I was very impressed by this. If it weren't for the fact that I had to shovel some snow (wearing gloves and doing labour), I feel like I could have worn it an extra day.
Personally, I really liked this colour and the application. The only thing is, I watch a Japanese anime where the evil ninjas wear purple nail polish, it kind of made me feel like I was part of this exiled evil ninja society but I feel like this whenever I wear a grayish purple not because of this colour specifically.
