Essie: Muchi Muchi

Hello Everyone!

September is just around the corner.  I hate to say this, but summer went by so quickly.  In Toronto, it has been a very cool summer.  Some days felt like spring or early fall.  Last year, we had a very hot summer, so I guess mother nature is just telling us to enjoy the fact that there's no snow! :)

Today I have a review for Essie's Muchi Muchi. I bought this way back in April during Shopper Drug Mart's BOGO offer.  I only wore Muchi Muchi this past week.

Thoughts
I've been looking for a pale pink for a while now. I have pinks with blue bases or bright pinks, but never this type of pink.  Honestly when I took it to paint my nails, I wasn't sure how it would go.  It could be a creme that was streaky on the first coat and then evens out on the second coat, or it could be the type that doesn't like me at all (the way I feel about Go Ginza).

I was really surprised at how wonderful this painted for me.  It was easy!  Kind of like Truth or Flare.  The polish is medium thick, it doesn't drip easily.  It a jelly like finish, which I was not expecting from the bottle.  My first coat was streak free, but I did paint at night while I was tired so I still had to use about two to three coats.  The third coat was mainly to even out the spots I missed.  I don't think that was the polish itself though.

I love how the finish looks.  After applying Essie's Good to Go, it looked like I got a gel manicure (well to me anyway).  I'm still not sure how I feel about Good to Go, but for some reason with Muchi Muchi, it just looked so lovely.  It was so smooth and shiny.

I was able to wear this manicure for four days without chipping.  On the fifth and sixth day, there was chipping but for two of my fingers. The rest were fine and still looked beautiful.

I received compliments, and it was really nice.  Again, I have to say, I was not expecting the jelly finish.
