Illamasqua: Faithful

Hello, today I have one of my most recent polishes to share with you.  I shared in a post a few weeks ago that I bought some Illamasqua polishes at The Bay during the clear out sale.

I couldn't wait to wear Faithful, so here it is!

Thoughts
Illamasqua's Faithful is a very pretty copper colour with golden shimmer.  The colour came out in 2012 as part of their summer Naked Strangers collection (or at least that's what I believe the collection is called).  Personally I think this is a lovely colour for fall because it seems very cozy and toasty looking to me.  Or reminds me of orange pekoe tea with milk (even though it doesn't look like it, it just reminds me of it for some reason).

Since I bought this on discount, even though I checked to make sure that the bottom wasn't opened before, application wise, it wasn't as smooth as I expected it to me.  I used three coats for full opacity.  At some coats, it seems like the polish was dry? So maybe I need to have more polish on the brush.  Other than that, I think the finished application was really pretty.  Also, the polish lasted a long time without chipping.  I am very happy I bought this.

Breakdown
Basecoat: Essie First Base
Colour layer: Illamasqua Faithful (3 coats)
Topcoat:  Essie Good to Go

(I was doing something so I dented a bit off the side of my middle finger. It's not so bad in real life but the camera catches everything)

I really like the shimmer on this polish

As I mentioned before, I bought this at The Bay for $8.50 (50% off since Illamasqua is leaving North America).
