As soon as the OPI San Francisco collection came out sometime in August, I knew I wanted Peace&Love&OPI (P&L&O). I bought two other colours, but I was really excited for this one. I didn't wear it immediately though since it was still summer time and I wanted to maximize on all the bright colour polishes I could wear.
Thoughts
From the bottle, the colour looks like a light grey with purple and green iridescent effect. On the website it's described as holographic sage with eggplant. This isn't the type of holo that I would think of when I think of other holos but there is a flash of different colours. I used three coats when I painted my nails. I painted my nails at night (which will explain why the pictures look different from usual), and I think 2 coats would have been enough but I had missed some spots still, so the third one really made everything nicely opaque. My only thing with three coats is that I feel like my nails are more heavy than normal (I don't know if this is just all in the mind) but this time my fingers felt normal.
I'm not sure if it's because I painted three coats but the colour is mostly like a gunmetal grey. In different angles it looks like sage or egg plant. I really like the overall effect and I keep staring at my nails at different angles in different light settings. The glossy finish just adds to how beautiful this colour is. There is a bit of brush marks but it's not very noticeable. In fact, I feel like it's another thing that just adds to the finish. The only thing is, on my nails, I feel that the colour is darker than on the bottle. Which might not be work appropriate. I guess anyone who knows it's not work appropriate might not try this colur, but I'm going to say it anyway.
I've already done a quick comparison for colours I had that I felt were similar to P&L&O, but after wearing it, I feel like it reminds more of a black pearl.

Brush shot
I took this picture at night and had to use my iPhone as flash or else the colour wouldn't come off. It does show how it shows an iridescent eggplant.
With flash, just so you can see how the gunmetal comes off.
The different sides of this colour
Tilting it a little for the eggplant
This is my office light. I took this with my phone. It is coming off more as a dark sage here, but believe me it's mostly gunmetal.
While walking home, I was trying to capture the different sides of this polish.

I purchased Peace&Love&OPI at Trade Secrets. It retails for C$9.99.
