A England: Princess Sabra

Hi everyone,
I have another nail colour to share with you today.  It's A England's Princess Sabra part of The Legend collection.  It says "tristam eyes" on the top of the name.  There is another polish called Tristam, which is a part of The Mythicals collection.  I don't know if they're related or not.  I know the owner, Adina, also has a cat called Tristam, so maybe it's dedicated to him and his eyes? No idea. There are cute pictures of Tristam the cat on A England's Facebook page.

I bought it exactly a year ago last year but never worn this.  I have a lot of polishes and I have no problems with ordering polish over eBay but for some reason I never ordered from companies because I thought shipping would be expensive.  Then I found out that the a england website shipped for free.  So I bought two bottles to try out.  One of them was Princess Sabra and Princess Tears for £9.00 each.  After that, I have bought two more polishes while they were on sale for £5.00.

In January there was a Thank You sale and I bought three more bottles for £14.00.  Which is a pretty good deal considering one is regularly priced at £9.00.  I had really wanted to try Saint George and Tristam because I've seen pictures on the internet.  Sometime after I made my purchase, Royal Mail had changed the shipping policy and I hadn't received my polishes yet.  Then I emailed A England  and Adina gave me a refund since she believes the package has been destroyed by Royal Mail. That saddens me, not only because my package was destroyed and now I won't get my stuff but for it must be a headache for Adina and her team.  Especially for new products to be destroyed, that's just heartbreaking.  While I know it's just polish, it's still sad.   I have to say that it was very quick action on her part.  I have been able to find a Canadian nail polish website (Nail Polish Canada) which carries A England.  On the A England website, they have recently started to list international website carriers due to the shipping.  They have been very active in providing updates on Facebook as well.

For some reason, the thought of not getting my package, I just decided to finally try the ones I had already bought.  I feel like a hoarder since I wanted more of something I didn't even try.

Thoughts:

This reminds me so much of my butter LONDON's All Hail the Queen.  Application was so easy and if I could describe nail polish as a buttery application, this would be in that category.  It took only 2 coats to have opacity, actually it was one but I just added another coat.

The holographic effect is very subtle, it gives off gold, green effects and the polish itself is a cross between gold and light olive green.  I really like this and it matches me so well.  Also it's not really too dramatic but subtle.  I'm sure under sunlight it'll give off the holographic effect but today is a cloudy day, so I can't check it out.  Regardless I'm very happy with the way this looks.  Makes me wonder why I didn't paint this colour long ago.

I am pretty used to regular brushes and the wider brushes.  I really found their brush to help with the application.  It was just a very smooth application and I didn't get the side to my skin.

I wore this for five days with minimal chipping before removing it.

Breakdown:

Base coat: butter LONDON's Nail Foundation Flawless Basecoat
Colour: a england's Princess Sabra (2 coats)
Top coat: butter LONDON's P.D. Quick Topcoat
Amount in the bottle: 13ml

I absolutely loved how this looked on me.

My friend made a comment on how it looked like a swamp colour.  To me, it looks more like a darken gold or light olive colour in a subtle holograph shade

I originally bought this on the A England website for £9.00.  There are some shipping troubles at the moment but if you go to their site and go to "Where To Buy", it'll give you a list of websites for the applicable country.  This is available for purchase at the Nail Polish Canada website.
