I would like to share with you today a nail polish from Jessica Cosmetics. Last spring, Chanel had came out with these colours called April, May and June. While Jessica Cosmetics came out with similar colours for their Wedding collection. Some people say they are dupes but I can't comment since I don't own the Chanel colours. I bought my friend Chanel "April" for her birthday. I guess this would be the equivalent if it was trying to be a dupe.
I mentioned that I rarely wear reds but I was going to a wedding and since I was wearing blue, I wanted my nails to have some colour. I decided to go with red since it would be pretty and a wedding classic. I always remember when I was a kid that my mom would paint her nails red for weddings. My mom isn't into make up or nail polish but if she did wear nail polish, she would wear red.
Thoughts
I thought application was pretty easy. Though at some points I didn't put enough polish on the brush so it was pretty dry to paint on. As in it wasn't gliding on but that could be due to the amount I placed on the brush. I used two coats and it was pretty opaque. In terms of finish it was prettier after the top coat. I'm not sure how I feel about this colour but that's because I'm not a red nails fan, even though I own some reds. I liked how it looked with my dress though.
