NARS: Pierre Hardy Sharks

Today is kind of a gloomy looking day, so I decided to swatch my new polish from NARS.  I bought this at Sephora a few weeks ago but right after the VIB sale.  I wasn't really sure if I wanted to this because I read how it's nice but not that original.  One polish is C$21, the set for two is $32.  So it's not bad for full size bottles and if you like both colours.  These are limited edition sets.  I think the other one I would have been interested in is Ethno Run which is the blue and orange but I have similar colours of that already.

I have a few NARS nail polishes already.  I do notice that although the brush is stuck to the square head, I have yet to experience the cap not aligning to the bottle when I twist it back to close it.  This might be a problem for some people, and I think it would annoy me, so I'm glad to not have experienced that yet.

Thoughts:
There are two polishes that are called Left and Right.  Left is the yellow colour, which is what really called to me in this set and at the time I was looking for a lavender colour.  The yellow is pretty and it was pretty nice after two coats.  I think it really came together after three coats though.  The Right side is the lavender colour.  This one was pretty opaque after one colour.  I added a second coat just to even it out but I don't really feel like I needed it.

The formula for both was about medium. Not watery and not too thick for me.  The Left (Yellow) could have possibly have been good with two coats but I tried to paint with thin layers, so I ended up having to paint three for a clean look.  For this reason, the pictures with three coats have like this thick line from where I started to paint.  I also found it dried pretty quickly especially without top coat but then again I could have been distracted to really notice the time.  Sometimes, after I paint my nails and I feel that a significant amount of time has passed and then I realized that my polish is still wet so I have to wet.  Here I was thinking the same thing but it was actually dried.  That's why I have this reasoning.

On with the pictures!

Then I decided to stamp left onto right.  I've never tried stamping with NARS polishes before and I could already tell it wouldn't be that noticeable but it's kind of cute in its own way. This has a top coat, just to make the print more apparent :)
