Essie: Play date

Another cold January day.  Over the Christmas holiday season, I went to New York City for New Year's Eve and I caught a cold while I was there.  Luckily I was flying back home soon after so that I could get some rest before going back to work.  It was announced that the Pantone Color of the Year for 2014 was Radiant Orchid.  When January hit, a lot of the companies I follow on instagram was showing their Radiant Orchid colours.  Since I was sick, I was totally in the mood for something to brighten up my day.  On the Essie Canada Instagram page, they showed Play date.  I realized I owned this for a while but never wore it before.  Well, now is the time!

Thoughts

Everyone else around work are wearing a lot of dark colours because of the winter season/cold weather.  Although my wardrobe did not change, when I wore this, everyone was saying how they loved my nails!  The application itself was so great. It was opaque in one coat but I added that second coat to even out my paint job.  The colour is a vibrant soft purple.

I bought Essie's Play Date at Shoppers Drug Mart during a sale.  I think it was about C$6.99.  Usually Essie retails at Shoppers for C$11.99 and on sale for C$9.99.  The size is 13.5ml/0.46 Fl. Oz.
