Today I have Essie's In the Cab-ana from the Summer Resort 2013 collection. This was taken on a day I was rushing through swatches, not because I felt like this was a chore and I had to get it done but I wanted to swatch but I didn't have time.
Thoughts:
I have a weird relationship with Essie polishes. When I first started to buy polishes over $5, Essie and OPI were my go to polishes. Essie was more accessible since it was available in drug stores. The only thing is, I either have a wonderful experience with the polish or the colour is good but I'm not crazy with the application or how it looked after I painted it on my finger. I haven't decided where In the Cab-ana stands with my feelings because I was rushing. I do love the colour though.
I did find the formula thick. Also something I have noticed with the way I apply Essie cream polishes is, the first coat is always streaky. Usually the second coat evens everything out nicely, so it's not a problem.
Breakdown:
Base coat: Nicole by OPI Base Coat Plus
Colour Coat: Essie In the Cab-ana (2 coats)
Top coat: Nicole by OPI Top Coat Plus
This was part of my rush swatch day, but I think it still turned out pretty well considering.
I really like this colour
The bottle has 13.5mL. I bought this at Trade Secrets and it retails for C$9.99.
